Summer evenings are made for live music, and the Port Warwick Summer Concert Series continues to bring the community together with free performances in Newport News. Hosted by Virginia Health Services (VHS) and the Port Warwick Foundation, the annual concert series takes place every Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at William Styron Square through August 26.
Now in its 22nd year, the series features a diverse lineup of performers spanning rock, pop, country, jazz, R&B, Motown, funk, and more. Concertgoers can enjoy a different musical experience each week, making it a popular summer tradition for residents and visitors alike.
The family-friendly event welcomes attendees of all ages and regularly draws crowds from across the Virginia Peninsula and beyond. Food is available from Port Warwick restaurants and a variety of food trucks, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers to enjoy an evening of live entertainment. Concerts are held rain or shine.
